This Portal, (the “App”, "Site"), is owned and operated by, and is the responsibility of, DMS&UY ("us", "we", "the "Organization", or "our").
The purpose of this portal is twofold, consequently leading to two distinct information channels and usage ends, each with segments that vary in regards to the level of depth captured and the scope under which we process and store information, but, no matter the situation, do know that we are committed to full transparency, and this, through all facets of our operations.
Our two main areas of info collection and usage are:
1. Organizational — All that relates to DMS&UY services, products, usage, market, and any areas of research or development that are directly linked to any of our daily operations that live outside of the needs of the information packaged and offered as a product;
2. Journalistic / Informational (J.I.) — All that's collected, through various means, to deliver relevant, impactful, substantiated and verified info.
In either cases, unless it pertains to personalised, opt-in emailings and subscription matters, and similar, all data used in a statistical manner is anonymized, and any results made available, either publicly or privately, will always represent groupings or an average, typical case, and never any specific individual, whether by name or through a fictitious analogue.
Although we, like the rest of the world’s wise Web, rely on, and plan even greater integration towards, API calls with second- and third-party entities, such methods are only applied with reputable vendors and only through safe modes.
We focus on, handle, and deliver information, for information's sake, not for behavioural abuses and hard-hitting adverts. We don't have an agenda, just a goal: Being amongst your top choices as a source of information that present of information
Although we work hard to set ourselves apart and abide by higher ethical standards, distinguishing one’s place within a highly-competitive marketplace usually implies being no better than the rest on at least one aspect, if not a few. In our case: Yes. We, too, collect data. We’d be incompetent noobs if we didn’t. However, a lack of ethics is in great part what pushed people away from the mainstream, circling back to "higher standards" being our actual service.
We understand that for the average Web user, data collection screams intrusion and fraud and the act usually gets a bad rap regardless of intended usage. Such feelings are far from always being warranted, but plenty has also happened to validate their place. That’s why we take this page seriously, offering more than the generic template policy page one finds on far too many sites, added simply because it’s a thing one must do, not because the site owners see real value in being fully transparent.
Having said that, this section details our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of all Personal Information received and collected from users of the Site. We do use all collected Personal Information in myriad ways but rest assured that we would never employ untoward behavior in this respect. By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
